Walking the streets, tasting the flavours, and sharing stories with locals transforms the way you understand a destination. On our recent FAM Trip in Thailand, partners stepped away from their desks to experience the journeys we carefully craft for them and their travellers. From cruising Bangkok’s canals to uncovering Chiang Mai’s creative spirit and soaking up Sukhothai’s serene charm, every moment offered more than inspiration—it offered a new perspective. Our partners left impressed by every detail, from the thoughtfully selected hotels and excursions to the guides who brought each experience to life, describing the trip as truly unforgettable. This is the power of firsthand experience: it shapes journeys that feel authentic, seamless, and memorable long after the return.

Our time at WTM London 2025 was more than just a showcase. It was a celebration of connection, creativity, and the shared passion that drives the travel industry forward. Engaging with key partners from around the world, we exchanged ideas, explored collaborations, and reimagined how travel can continue to inspire, connect, and transform.

We also led a series of training sessions and participated in partner events, sharing our insights, showcasing new offerings, and strengthening our collaborative network. These moments of learning and engagement reminded us why we love what we do: crafting journeys that go beyond destinations to create moments of meaning and discovery. The energy and enthusiasm throughout the event reignited our commitment to shaping authentic experiences and building partnerships that bring the spirit of Asia Pacific to life.

As we look ahead, we are inspired to turn this momentum into action, creating more opportunities, deeper connections, and unforgettable travels together.

Still searching for your next adventure? We went straight to our Vio Travel Experts to get insider tips on the best destinations, stays, and hidden gems. From must-visit spots to off-the-beaten-path experiences, here’s what they had to say!

What’s one thing you love about being in the industry?

What I love most about working in travel is getting to turn someone’s dream into a real, unforgettable experience. There’s so much joy in knowing my work becomes part of someone’s happiest memories. Seeing guests’ excitement before their trip, and hearing their stories after always reminds me why I love what I do.

Where is your go-to getaway, and why?

Japan is definitely my go-to destination. There’s something magical about the way it balances peace and energy, from the quiet rhythm of Hakone’s onsen towns to the bright lights and organised chaos of Tokyo. Each season feels completely new: cherry blossoms in spring, golden temples framed by autumn leaves, even a simple train ride becomes part of the journey. Japan always reminds me to slow down and appreciate the details.

What makes a stay stand out, and can you share one you would recommend the most?

For me, a truly memorable stay is one where you feel genuinely cared for, where service feels personal, not scripted. Gora Kadan in Hakone captures that perfectly. It’s not just luxurious; it’s soulful. The ryokan’s elegant simplicity, the scent of tatami, the sound of water from the private onsen — everything invites you to slow down, disconnect, and be present. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave.

What’s the most unique or off-the-beaten-path experience you’ve ever had?

Staying overnight at a temple in Koyasan is one of my most unforgettable travel experiences. Waking up to monks chanting at dawn, joining their meditation, and sharing a simple vegetarian breakfast felt deeply grounding. It was a rare moment of stillness, a reminder that travel isn’t just about seeing new places but about reconnecting with yourself in them.

What destination do you think is the next big hit?

South Korea is quickly rising on every traveller’s list. Beyond Seoul’s buzz and food scene, places like Jeonju’s hanok village and the coastal beauty of Namhae are gaining attention. There’s a perfect balance of culture, creativity, and warmth that makes Korea both exciting and familiar.

Can you share some tips on how to find the most unique experiences and stays?

The most memorable experiences often come from being open to curiosity, local conversations, and small detours. Travel isn’t just about ticking off landmarks but about finding moments that feel real. At Vio Travel, that’s exactly what we aim to do: curate stays and experiences that bring travellers closer to the heart of a destination. Whether it’s a hidden ryokan in the mountains or a boutique hotel run by a passionate local family, we love helping people discover the stories behind every stay.

And that’s it! Remember, you can book all of these experiences with us and integrate them into your clients’ itineraries, ensuring you offer them the best experience possible, within minutes!
